INGREDIENTS
Quart heavy cream
Fresh dairy cream is best but heavy whipping cream works too.
Do not use half and half.

Let cream sit at room temperature. Pour into a mixer with whisk attachment.
1. Prep & Pour

Mix on medium. Cover with dish towel to prevent splatter. Listen for the sloshy sound indicating butter formation.
2. Blend Away

Turn off mixer once butter separates from buttermilk.
3. Time for Butter

Run butter under cold water, squeezing until liquid turns clear.
4. Wash & Squeeze

Form butter into desired shape. Store in fridge in a container with a wide top.
