Sourdough  Chocolate  Cupcakes

These delicious cupcakes combine sourdough starter, coconut oil, maple syrup, and coconut sugar to create a wonderful treat you won't feel guilty serving to family and friends for any special occasion.


Sourdough Starter Milk Flour Eggs Coconut oil Vanilla extract Cocoa powder Maple syrup Coconut sugar Salt Baking soda Butter Heavy Cream Coconut flakes (optional)

For long-fermented cupcakes, mix a levain the night before and allow to ferment overnight.

The next day, mix up the batter with the levain plus the other ingredients.

Spoon the batter into a cupcake tin with liners and bake.

While the cupcakes cool, whip up the buttercream frosting. Frost the cupcakes once they are completely cooled.
