Parker Baby Co was started by a husband and wife team in 2015 when they had twin girls, and it has since grown in Parker Kids Co as their own family grew up. I love that it’s not a big box corporation, and is really personalized with what kids really like and what parents need.
Parker Kids Back to School Collection: The Pros
Gender Neutral Colors
I love how both Parker Kids and Parker Baby have very aesthetically pleasing colors for all of their products, and most everything is gender neutral. There aren’t any really bright colors, but instead have more muted and calming color choices.
Quality
My next pro is how well the products are made. The purple backpack/lunchbox/pencil case set is our second set from the back to school collection, our first was a pink set (which we still use, it’s just a little more dirtier since we use them so much!). We have brought this backpack on airplanes, boat rides, trains… it’s been in rivers, lakes, everywhere! It washes up great and is very durable, and it’s also very hard to get stained. Everything in the set also has name labels just in case anything ever gets lost.
It has several pockets, zippers, and places to put water bottles. The straps are also easily adjustable to grow with your child.
The lunchbox has been brought along to so many picnics, car rides, air planes, trains… everywhere we go basically where we will need to have a meal or snack packed! The inside is very well insulated, and works great with an ice pack stuck inside and food on top. Even in the heat of summer, it is still good and cold when we come home after several hours.
Another helpful feature of the lunchbox are the two clips, one on top of the bag and the other on the front. Super helpful for clipping to their backpack, or even a diaper bag for hands-free packing!
The Decorative Patches!
One of our favorite things about this lunchbox are the fun patches! All of the bags and cases have a Velcro material on the front, and my kids have so much fun putting the patches on and rearranging them multiple times. Even the baby loves these patches and spent a good hour putting them on when we took an airplane trip a few weekends ago!
The pencil case has the velcro lining as well, and it’s so fun for kids to decorate however they desire. I usually buy holiday patches and use them as stocking stuffers, which is so exciting for them to have new patches to decorate with!
It has a lined, wipeable interior, a name label, and a loop handle that can attach to other bags. It is a large case and can fit everything from pencils, glue sticks, markers, scissors, pencil sharpeners, erasers, etc.

Parker Kids Back to School Collection: The Cons
Overall Price
While the school sets are very well made, they do have a higher price range than what you’d find on Amazon. Right before school started, they were running a 50% off sale for some of their items, so that is definitely something to keep in mind if you’re thinking of trying them out. Also, if you buy everything as a set it is 15% cheaper than buying each bag individually.

Price of Patches
Another con is that I wish the patches were a little cheaper. I understand why they’re not, but I would buy a lot more of them if they were because my kids love them! They are very well made, detailed, soft, and don’t loose their stickiness over time. You can definitely tell that they’re not made cheaply, or came from Amazon. If you or your kids don’t really care for the patches, then that is something that you wouldn’t have to worry about.
Product Designs
The product designs from this company are generally pretty simple (which I think is a pro, but for others it may be a con based on what you want!). There are several pockets and zippers, but the bags aren’t super sophisticated or complex. So if you are looking for something with more pockets or separate spaces for things, this may not be a right fit for you.
I prefer a more simple design with less pockets, so this works out super well for me and my family.
Parker Baby Co: The Pros
No matter if you buy something from Parker Kids or Baby Co, the quality is very consistent and well made. It’s so nice to have a business that you can trust. After using so many of their products over the years through the different stages of life, the quality has never changed!
Checkered Baby Quilt
We bought this beautiful checkered baby quilt when our third baby was born, and our now one year old sleeps with it every night.
Bath Caddy
All three of our kids use their bath caddy in the bath. It holds all of their toys, shampoo, and water pail.
Bibs
My one year old has been using Parker Baby bibs for some time now. I have to say, the bibs exceeded my expectations! They are fleece-lined, very thick, and fit her perfectly. I’ve had other brands of bibs before that end up being too loose and the food just goes right down their shirt, but these are not the case. Perfect fit and are able to be adjusted with the different settings on the back.
The bibs also wash really well. These bibs get a lot of wear and tear, but just a regular wash cycle gets them clean again with no staining.
If you’re looking for baby gear, I highly recommend the bibs, quilts, and swaddle blankets from Parker Baby Co. We’ve used the swaddle blankets with our last two babies and love them as well!
Parker Baby Co: The Cons
Materials
I’m someone who prefers to use organic materials when possible such as organic cotton and no polyester. However, there are a few products that I am a little more lenient on when it comes to the materials. Lunchboxes, for instance, have to have a liner to keep food from leaking or getting everything wet from the ice pack.
I do wish that the Parker Baby Co quilts and swaddle blankets were 100% organic cotton. The next best thing for me is that many of the blankets are 100% cotton and not mixed with other materials. When I received the baby products that are 100% cotton, the material felt really good and they wash well too.
Even though they don’t have an organic material label, the fabric is pure and has very good quality. The website does say that each product is made without formaldehyde, phthalates, BPA, or added flame retardants.
My Honest Review
I hope this helps in helping you decide what to use for your kid’s back to school supplies this year. In conclusion, my favorite thing about Parker Kids and Baby is the brand loyalty and trust that has grown with each product that we’ve tried out from them. I much prefer to support a smaller company like this than huge companies on Amazon that I don’t know where the products are even coming from.
This is such a great company for Baby and Kids products. They make great back to school gifts, new baby gifts, birthdays, Christmas, or just filling a need when you are spending the day with your kids and need storage while out and about.
