With an overwhelming amount of stuff to shop for when it comes to children, I’ve tried to narrow it down to just my favorites for this natural kids Christmas gift guide. Gifts that are educational, useful, non-toxic, wholesome, and imaginative are the best in my opinion. So, here’s a list of our favorites this year!

With an overwhelming amount of stuff to shop for when it comes to children, I’ve tried to narrow it down to just my favorites for this natural kids Christmas gift guide. Gifts that are useful, spark imagination, crafty, or educational are the best in my opinion, so here’s a list of our favorites this year!

How to Buy “Natural” Gifts for Kids
Kids gifts, especially toys, can easily become just clutter.
So personally I like to follow the “one item in” means “one item out” of the house rule. That way the amount of inventory I have at any given time is the same.
But with Christmas, and so much stuff coming in, this can be a little challenging. That’s why I try to focus on “natural” gifts. These are gifts that are educational, non-toxic, wholesome, and spark imagination. A “not natural” gift would be a toy that gets played with for a few minutes and forgotten. I tried to buy gifts for my kids that they will use day in and day out so we don’t accumulate clutter in our house.
So whether you’re buying for your own kids or someone else’s, here are a few tips to help make sure your gift sticks around instead of gets lots in the clutter!

Tips for Buying Good Kids Gifts
Buy materials instead of end products. Things like craft paper, a sheet of music, book or audio books, workshop tools or cooking utensils, sewing tools, etc. These things all provide means to an end instead of just an end, and can be used over and over for countless creations.
Stick with the basics. This is a tip for everyone on your list, not just kids!
I know a lot of us think we have to get something super special or unique for our loved ones on Christmas. But, I think just the basics like clothing, books, or cooking tools can mean a lot. I don’t know about you, but one of my favorite and most used items is my pair of jeans. Or a cozy sweater. Or my cooking pots. So something that may not seem fancy but that can be used every day is a great idea!
Buy on sale, when on sale! One of my favorite little secrets to Christmas shopping is I buy things at a good price, whenever I see them. So whether it’s July or October, if I see something I know would make a great gift and it’s at a good price, I buy it then so I can save money come December. This helps December be not so financially stressful!
Toys that Encourage Imaginative Play. This is an easy one. If you buy gifts that encourage imaginative play, then the item gets used over and over as opposed to something they just start and finish and then they’re done. For example, a large Amazon box. Our kids love that, and it’s free! Other ideas are costumes, instruments, and building blocks. Endless opportunities for imaginative play.

2025 “Natural” Kids Christmas Gift Guide
I’ve categorized this list into two types: gifts over $50 and gifts under $50, so you can take a look according to your budget!
Natural Kid Gifts over $50
While stocking stuffers and other small items can definitely be enough, sometimes the larger stuff just costs more. And if you’re going to get a year or more worth out of it, then it may just be worth it! Here are some items I found that may actually be worth the price tag:

Kids Indoor Trampoline
My #1 gift on our kid’s wishlist this year is a trampoline. Now, I’m not sure where we would even put it, but I just think the energy exertion on this thing would be crucial! It is so challenging in the wintertime when it’s dark, cold, and rainy out and the kids can’t go for walks or bikerides.
I’d be interested to see if this trampoline helps prolong the life of our couch, too! 😉
Duplo Train Set
I’m sure most moms out there know the value of duplos, but if you are brand new mom or haven’t had kids for a while, these are such a win. Every kid I know loves them. And they reuse them constantly to build new things, making them a toy that I’m okay not giving away after a few months.
The stuff from Parker Kids is really nice quality. If you’re looking for backpacks, lunch boxes, cool patches that would be great stocking stuffers, etc, this is the perfect place. Many items are also under $50!

(Above) are two picks for my 4 year old daughter this year. Her first backpack and lunch box. She will use these when traveling on an airplane for an upcoming trip, or just to bring food to the park! Both are from Parker Kids co. They have several colors, and I also love that you can get these cute patches for the kids to stick on as well! Be sure to use code THEDUVALLHOMEST to get a discount at checkout.
Natural Kids Gifts under $50
There are dozens of things you can get kids for a good price. How often have you gotten your child a 50 cent toy from a vending machine and it is their favorite thing? Well, you won’t find those in this list, but I do have some items that my kids really like or are asking for this year:
Booklist
Little House Chapter Book Set
My 4 year old daughter and I have been going through the Little House series, and she REALLY loves them! We even have the books on CD for her to listen to during room time. These shortened chapter versions are perfect for ages 4–8 and make for cozy winter reading time.
Curious George Classic Collection
A story everyone loves. Boys and girls alike love Curious George, at least in our house, so this will be an easy stocking stuffer for our Christmas this year.
Early Reading Learning Book + CD Set
Our kids love listening to books on CD, so buying a bulk set will set us up for many fun surprises to come. I love pulling just one of these out at a time and saving the rest for another day.
Preschool Piano Book (Beginner Music Book)
Every child I know is musically inclined, meaning they love music and are interested in learning it! For little ones, this piano book along with a small keyboard would make a great gift.

Crafts & Activities List
5-Piece Kids Cooking Set
If there’s one place my kids want to spend nearly all of their time, it’s the kitchen. I bought this set for my kids a few months ago and it was such a great idea. The knives cut surprisingly well and it gives both my 4 and 2 year old a practical way to actually help with some chopping and peeling! Highly recommend!
Craft book with 25 crafts inside!
A screen-free craft book with simple, kid-friendly paper projects. I give this to my 4 year old anytime she wants a project to work on!
Pencil Organizer Case
A surprisingly fun gift for kids who love drawing, coloring, or crafting.

Affordable (but high quality & organic) Clothing
I have tried Amazon clothing and it usually does not last the test of time. Since I have recently started buying clothes from Quince, we’ve been much happier with the quality, and the price is super reasonable. I also love that it’s a one-stop shop where I can buy nice, organic clothing for anyone in my family including myself!
Organic Kids Clothing
Quince has organic kids clothing at a super reasonable price. Soft, organic cotton pajamas, sweats, and everyday basics that are perfect for Christmas morning outfits or stocking stuffers.

(Above) is my most recent Quince clothing haul. Clothes for me on the left (new postpartum fit!) and the two girls on the right. I am thrilled with the matching dresses for my 4 year old and 3 month old!
Pin it for later!

Organic Women’s Clothing
I recently started buying my own clothes from Quince because they have high quality womens clothing at an affordable price. Affordable, high-quality basics like sweaters, long-sleeves, soft joggers, cashmere blends, and cotton staples. I also love their jeans and winter coats, as pictured below!

(Above) is from my recent video where I shared these gift ideas. I’m also trying on my new Quince jeans and jacket.
Perfect for moms who want simplicity, comfort, and durability.
Organic Men’s Clothing
My husband is also fan of Quince men’s clothing!
