Come see how I made our old world farmhouse Christmas kitchen on a budget this year. The other day I was looking around our home and thinking, I love our home so much. And I always have! We bought our house because it was almost totally perfect. But more and more I feel the urge to make things look more our own, and less like the house when we bought it. I also want to bring some old world traditional farmhouse touches in, because I have just been loving that style lately. And with the holidays around the corner I figured it was the perfect time to decorate for Christmas, in the kitchen at least. We’ll get to the rest of the house later LOL 🙂[Read more…] about Old World Farmhouse Christmas Kitchen on a Budget
A few weeks ago John and I decided we wanted open shelving in the kitchen. Well, basically I decided, but John agreed. It’s becoming popular now and I wanted a more traditional farmhouse look, and to be able to see in my cabinets. So if you are reading this, let me know what you think. Did we pull off open shelving?[Read more…] about My Husband’s DIY Open Shelving Hack & Easy Kitchen Organization

We are finally starting to see some sunshine and temperatures over 40 degrees at the farmhouse, so I wanted to give our kitchen some fresh life for spring. I love doing this, not only for each season but even more often than that. You can simply bring in fresh flowers into your kitchen and they will provide you new sights, smells, and life! So I really didn’t do much except pick up some fresh food from the farm stand, started some homemade herb drying, and displayed some fresh flowers. In my opinion the more simplicity I can bring in the kitchen the better, so our spring farmhouse kitchen has a few new flowers, homemade dried herbs, and some new veggies on the counter!
I wanted to add a few simple spring touches to our farmhouse kitchen to bring in fresh life and new ideas. Spring is the time of new seeds being planted, new chicks hatching, and so many other exciting things. So for us, that meant it was time to add some spring life into our farmhouse kitchen![Read more…] about Spring Farmhouse Kitchen
Come see our minimalist farmhouse kitchen pantry organization. I spend all day in the kitchen – breakfast and dinners every night, and sometimes lunch. So it’s very important to me to have a clean pantry and for frequently used items to be easily accessible! After organizing the spice cabinets, I was really excited to tackle the pantry. Now, I am so proud of how our pantry looks and functions, that I want to show it off to friends and family! These tips for pantry organization will have you cooking better and faster in no time.
How to optimize pantry organization
I really wanted the pantry to make my life easier when making meals. (I know, obvious right?) But the truth is I had never really thought about it like this before. I had always thought of it as a place to store food. But why not make it more of like a kitchen caddy – something that is designed specifically for your or your family’s needs in mind? You can “store” extra food somewhere else. No need to sift through storage to find an item that you use almost every day.
Here’s how I organized our farmhouse kitchen pantry:[Read more…] about Pantry Organization at our Farmhouse
I started using the NutriBullet over 5 years ago when I bought it to use as a smoothie maker, juicer, food processor, and blender. Now, don’t tell NutriBullet that I said that, because it’s obviously not supposed to be all of those things! But I really got to know this device over the last 5+ years so I thought I would share its pros and cons with you. Maybe you are trying to decide whether to invest in a blender, smoothie maker, juicer, or food processor. All of these are a decent investment, so this should help you understand exactly what a NutriBullet does and how I use it. I am also sharing one of our favorite cleansing smoothie recipes. This recipe is detoxifying and an anti-inflammatory, and it just tastes great! Enjoy![Read more…] about Cleansing Smoothie Recipe and 5-year NutriBullet Pro Review
