Either Athletic Leisure or Daily Sun Dress
It was a drizzly 42 degrees out this morning, not exactly the type of weather I had in mind when I received my new summer clothes.
But how it works in Washington state is we’ll have a cold day, and the next day it’ll get hot. And by hot I mean, maybe 70 degrees? Because if you are from around here you know that as soon as it gets over 50 people wear shorts, dresses, and sun hats.
While I am on the topic of stereotyping PNW people ;), the other thing I want to mention is I’ll also be sharing my “athletic leisure” attire in this post. I saw a reel on Instagram the other day that was spot on. It said, “people in the PNW are always dressed like they could be ready for a hike in a moment’s notice”.
Yep! So my attire consists mostly of sundresses that are also functional for the day’s chores, and athletic leisure clothes that can either go in the direction of pajamas or mountain gear. I hope you are OK with that range 😉 So let’s begin!

I will have links to some of the items I mention here below, but depending on when you’re reading this the items may not be in stock. So here are the places I shopped this time around, and I guarantee they’ll have good stuff no matter when you’re looking at this post!
Old Navy (currently 20% with code AMAZE!)- I return to Old Navy every year. Sometimes I stop by there and I see nothing, other times I score. This was a time I scored. My favorite part about Old Navy is that they have “tall” clothing so I know it’s going to fit my long torso and long arms. If you’re tall too, you know what I’m talking about! They also have petit and regular sizing.
Pact – my favorite for organic cotton. Always wait for a sale so you save some money! But they have the absolute best undergarments like underwear, nursing bras, etc. I also buy their tank tops and yoga pants/leggings, socks, and cozy hoodies. If I had to only live in Pact clothing, I would be fine with it!

Amazon – I have found some gems on Amazon over the years. My favorite pair of jeans is from Amazon, and I also like the Burts Bees and Owlivia organic cotton baby clothes for Allison. Last year I also picked up several cozy long sleeve shirts which have held up really well so I’ll be keeping them in my closet for the cool summer mornings or nights.
Alpine Baby Co (use code duvall10 for 10% off!) – this is a new one for me (for baby clothes). They have handmade clothes out of Montana, so its “sort of” local to us. In the summertime we love getting outside and up into the mountains, so their brand fits well with us here in the PNW. I bought a few clothes for Allison which you will see below. They have the cutest prints, from the “free range” to “wild flower” t shirts, to farm animals leggings. Shopping for my baby will never get old with this store. I reached out to them and they gave me a discount code to share with you all, so you can enjoy 10% off with the code duvall10.
Pehr – for baby clothes. Oh how I wish my budget was unlimited and I could shop here all day long. They have the cutest baby clothes. They are one of the few companies that I will say “you get what you pay for” in terms of quality. Their baby clothes are super soft and super stretchy, and wash well. That’s really hard to find!
Summer Capsule Wardrobe 2022

What I love about these dresses is they all have pockets, which I am deeming as necessary now a days. Also, they come in “tall” sizes, which I always order being my size is 5’8″. There is also regular and petit!
As of May 2022, you can get these dresses 20% off at the links below and code AMAZE!
More Dresses!

Can you tell my theme this year was dresses? I love the big baggy dresses that are both functional and cute. I also need the dresses to be nursing-friendly, and all of these are. On another note they are also maternity friendly (I have a lot of requirements here, haha).
Pale blue and white stripe dress
Red floral dress (this is not the same one I try on in the video, but it’s the same brand from Target)
Dark blue and white stripe dress
Athletic Leisure Wear

I talk in this video about how in the Pacific Northwest we are always “dressed for a hike”. Truly, if I could live in leggings, a tank top, and a hoodie I would be totally fine with that. That and my sundresses, of course 😉 Aside from hiking, these are just nice clothes to wear in the cool summer evenings. Sitting around the campfire and protecting your legs from mosquitos with cozy leggings and a hoodie? Yes. Please.
Organic cotton tank tops (I’ve lived in these the last 9 months!)
Organic Cotton bra (very easy to nurse in!)
Summer Clothes for Baby Girl

I’m enjoying dressing my baby girl as much as possible. Every day just soaking it in that I have a real life baby doll that I used to dream about as a little girl myself 🙂 Here are a few staples I got for her this summer.
Maroon Mountain Onesie (code duvall10 for 10% off!)
