Today I’m going to share with you my personal review of Quince European Linen Bed Sheets. I recently tried the king-size bed sheets and the duvet cover to see how they held up compared to other brands. I’m going to be talking about the pros and cons of these bed sheets so you can have all of the information before purchasing a set of your own.
I’ve reviewed a few other bed sheets on my blog in the past so I’ll be doing a bit of comparison across different brands. I have tried a lot of bed sheets, so I have some opinions!

What drew me to do a Quince Linen Sheets Review
I have been looking for organic bedding for a long time and tried multiple brands to find the perfect set. We always thought that we wanted to make everything organic in our lifestyle from our food to our household products to our bedding.
Having everything organic and chemical/pesticide-free creates an overall healthier life. We all have toxins in our lives, but when they are in high levels and accumulate in our bodies, we can have a lot of health issues like disease, liver problems, heart problems, autoimmune issues, fertility issues, and more. -Babies are even more sensitive to toxins than we are, so I try to keep our home as safe for my kids as I can.
Before I had my first baby, I went through our home and tried to switch over as much as I could to homemade, all-natural, and toxin-free. That’s when I started cooking from-scratch food, making my own homemade lotion and baby shampoo, and growing some of our own food in the garden.
After that, we wanted to focus on our bed. Considering we spend a third of our lives in bed, we wanted to ensure it was a safe space for us and our babies to rest in. Our bed sheets are in contact with our skin for so much time so I want them to be top-notch.
We first pulled the trigger on an organic mattress because we didn’t want anything that off-gassed or had chemicals we would be sleeping on. We went with the Avocado Organic Mattress and we absolutely love it!
The next step was organic bedding. I’ve been experimenting with different bedding sets, including the Quince organic bamboo bedsheets and this Quince European linen bedding.

Why Organic Bedding?
Conventional bed sheets are typically full of harmful ingredients including formaldehyde, dyes, and heavy metals. The textile industry uses a lot of unregulated substances that can cause irreversible damage to our nervous systems and our bodies.
If you’re shopping for bedding, always aim to find something with a certification behind it and avoid bedding that uses the term “permanently pressed.” That term means that they are trying to give you a wrinkle-free product (which sounds nice in theory), but they are using formaldehyde to do so.
If you are on the hunt for organic bedding, you’ll probably come across Quince. Quince is really unique because they have much lower prices than other organic bedding companies. They’ve cut out the middleman in their supply chain in order to keep quality up while keeping prices low.
Quince carries organic cotton, bamboo, and even silk as fabric options for their bedsheets. The sheets I tried most recently and that I will be reviewing today are their organic linen sheets.
Quince Linen Sheets Review Pros and Cons
Certified Non-Toxic
Quince organic linen sheets are certified OEKO-TEX Standard 100, which means they are made without the use of harmful chemicals or pesticides. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is a label for textiles that sets the benchmark for textile safety from yarn to finished product, so every item with that label is certified as having passed safety tests for the presence of over 1,000 harmful substances.
Low Prices
Organic sheets can get very expensive. If you dive into the world of organic bedding, you see how pricey they can get. Quince is substantially cheaper than their main competitors in the organic bedding market. They offer great prices without sacrificing quality with their direct-to-consumer model.
Easy to Wash and Put on the Bed
Quince linen sheets have deep 16-inch pockets on the fitted sheet, making them easy to get on the bed and keep on the bed. They also have the top sheet and the fitted sheet labeled, which I appreciate. I hate when you have to yank and tug on sheets to get them to stay on the mattress, and I haven’t had to deal with that at all with these sheets. They have plenty of room to fit on the mattress, so it’s very easy to make the bed, even when I’m doing it by myself with kids running around me or in a rush.
They Feel Incredible to Sleep On
Quince linen is light, crisp, and airy, so when you get in bed you don’t feel a lot of weight on you from the sheets. They feel great to sleep on and I’ve found that they’re even lighter than cotton while still keeping you warm when needed. I’ve tried these bed sheets on both warm and cold nights and they are great at temperature regulating for both types of climates. I love the texture of my bamboo sheets, but I think I will enjoy these linen sheets more throughout the summer. If you’re a hot sleeper like me, you’ll love linen.
Cute Designs
I love the neutral stripe color that I got and there are so many more great colors and patterns! I was able to find a design that works well with our handmade bed frame and the decorative pillowcases that we already had. My bedroom has never looked better.
Cons of Quince Linen Sheets
Not Certified Organic
These sheets are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, but they are not certified organic. I have done the research and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 seems to prevent the use of all the chemicals and pesticides I want to avoid. So, I can’t be sure of the precise difference between the two.
It would be nice to have an organic certification, though, just to be sure. That said, I still feel great about using these especially with my babies sleeping in bed with us. These sheets are significantly cheaper than sheets that come with the organic certification, so you have to weigh what’s worth it to you.
Softness
It was truly difficult to come up with a second con because I love these sheets so much, but I will say these sheets are not as soft as I’d like. When I first got them, they felt very coarse to me and I wondered if this is what linen is supposed to feel like. After washing them they got softer and they continue to get softer the more I wash them. I love them now, but when I first got them I wasn’t sure about the texture. If you are unhappy with the softness of your linen sheets, I definitely recommend washing them a few times before using them.
In Conclusion
If you are looking for natural linen sheets without all of the harmful chemicals, definitely try out Quince European linen bedsheets and duvet covers! They are a fantastic affordable option that you can feel great sleeping on every night.
